Covid-19 - What you should know
Skylark’s advisor team is here to support you. Travel is tricky right now and planning isn’t always straightforward, but our team of advisors is here to assist in every way we can.
What it is
A 269-room oceanfront lodge with six locavore restaurants, a topnotch spa and one of the most lauded Scottish-style golf courses on earth.
What it isn't
Leaving anyone out. Guests have access to the private, members-only Spanish Bay Club, home to a 24-meter heated al fresco pool and eight tennis courts.
What we think
Exceptional service is everything at this ultra-luxe waterfront resort, where guest perks include loaner Lexus vehicles, the ability to book tee-times 18 months ahead (and gratis use of a golf cart while you play), and Les Clefs d’Or concierges who’ll arrange every one of your Pebble Beach dreams. The enormous guest rooms (starting at 470-square-feet) are every bit as well-planned; all have gas fireplaces and 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, and most feature private balconies. Even if the honeymoon’s over, the Honeymoon Suite is a romantic delight, thanks to a deep soaking tub, double shower and picture windows that peep out on the 1st fairway, set along the misty Pacific Ocean. Oh, did we mention a professional bagpiper strolls the grounds daily? Yes, the inn is as close as it gets to Scotland—with California’s paradisiacal weather.
You're here because
The Stave Wine Cellar is an oenophile’s fantasy sprung to life, with 200 rare wines, a double sided stone fireplace and savory pairings aplenty, including charcuterie and truffled Marcona almonds.
Your obsession with Northern Italy means you can, admittedly, be hard on stateside Italian restaurants. But one bite of your gnocchi di ricotta at Peppoli, the inn’s oceanside eatery, and you’re no longer in Pebble Beach—you’re sitting at a nona’s kitchen table in Milan, and you’re begging her for seconds. Bonus: the restaurant stocks the biggest collection of Antinori wines beyond Tuscany.
