What it is

An 11-residence respite at the base of Aspen Mountain, with interiors inspired by 1970s Swiss chalets, a mountainside al fresco pool, and a buzzy rooftop bar complete with fire pits.

Just for ski bunnies. The hotel is equipped for all manner of adventurers (note the 24/7 FIT gym with graffiti walls.)

What we think

With homes hovering around $40 million, Aspen real estate is a bit out of our price range—which is where the Sky Residences at W Aspen come in. These two and three bedroom retreats (starting at a whopping 1,200 square feet) are outfitted with all the comforts of an ultra-glam home, including full kitchens, two and a half bathrooms, and downy feather beds that make the ultimate apres-ski crash pads, all in a palette of snow whites, blonde woods and pops of retro colors, like citrine and Hermes-orange. But our favorite aspect of each home is undoubtedly the private balcony; soaking up as much fresh alpine air as possible is a must, here.

There’s nothing more fun than an outdoor hot tub overlooking jaw-dropping mountains; here, hot tubs are flanked by flickering fire pits, cabanas and a cocktail bar. Did we mention the all-weather rooftop hosts DJ parties galore?

The Moment

Subterranean cocktail bars don’t get any more megawatt than what you’re seeing from your puffy pink bar stool at 39°. You’re pretty sure you saw that girl to your right on the cover of Us Weekly. Or is she a TikTok star? You have arrived.

Location

Just a block from the foot of the Silver Queen Gondola (i.e. an easy schlep, even in your ski boots). Some of Aspen’s best watering holes, including Steakhouse No. 316, are just a few blocks away.
