What it is
A sleek and colorful 83-room and 5-suite retreat with a 24-hour gym and 8,000-square-foot pool and bar peeping out on Aspen Mountain.
What it isn't
Too cool to coddle you. Service is exemplary, whether you’re looking for daily housekeeping, an in-the-know concierge or 24-hour room service for late-night cheeseburgers.
What we think
Your room choices here range from “Wonderful” to “Spectacular” to “Fabulous” to “Wow” to, for the Presidential Suite, “Extreme Wow.” Superlatives aside, you can’t go wrong with any choice. Starter rooms (i.e. “Wonderful”) really earned their name with spacious floor plans that start at 425 square feet, pillowtop feather bed king-sized mattresses, and nightly turn-down service. The literal top-choice, “Extreme Wow,” also well-deserves it’s moniker; just take note of the rounded sofa and circular fire and bed artfully adorning the 1100-square-foot space, plus a whirlpool to soothe ski-weary legs. Don’t miss stopping by 39 Degrees, the subterranean cocktail bar inspired by Aspen’s Wild West redlight district.
You're here because
The interiors are something Austin Powers might dream up, if he were a busy 21st-century executive hoping to blow off steam—think lava lamps and foosball tables over Pucci-inspired carpeting.
When you pictured your latest jaunt to Aspen, you never imagined this: steeping in a hot tub by a fire pit overlooking Aspen Mountain, dirty martini in hand. But like waking up to a dusting of snow in June, Aspen always surprises you—and that’s just why you’re here.
Just two minutes on foot to Aspen Mountain Ski Resort, and two blocks in the other direction from Aspen Art Museum, designed by starchitect Shigeru Ban.
