Telluride, Colorado
Inn At Lost Creek
Mountain Village Marvel
What it is
A cozy slopeside boutique hotel with private rooftop hot tubs, gratis breakfast, and a fiercely authentic Thai restaurant on-site.
What it isn't
Equipped with its own ginormous spa…but guests have access to The Spa at the Peaks, just a few minutes walk away.
What we think
Remember when the Nordic concept of “hygge”—or coziness—took the world by storm? Inn at Lost Creek is hygge incarnate. Guest rooms are welcoming dens of warm blonde woods, Adirondack-style twig furniture, and plush upholstered sitting areas. Even the smallest room category, Studios, is an expansive 400 square feet, with kitchenettes, jetted tubs, a washer/dryer, and a private balcony (ask for one with a fireplace to fully indulge in après-ski life). Or treat yourself to a Junior or One Bedroom Suite (up to 600 square feet), which can sleep up to four guests in style—with guaranteed stone gas fireplaces, steam showers, and roomy living rooms ideal for decompressing after a day on the slopes. Speaking of: don’t miss the hotel’s rooftop hot tubs, which will quickly soothe any lingering aches from the ski moguls.
You're here because
You love an included breakfast buffet, and this one is a stunner: with bagels and lox, buttery pastries and so much more.
The Moment
You didn’t expect to find note-perfect Thai food in a Telluride hotel, but Siam’s Talay Grille is bliss, bite by bite. Between the tamarind marinated elk short loin to the mango sticky rice, it’s rivaling everything you ever tasted in Bangkok—and just what the ski doctor ordered.
