Vail, Colorado
Four Seasons Vail
Alpine Perfection
What it is
A storybook retreat tucked into the mountains, with luxe perks galore, a showstopping outdoor pool and a lodge-like spa.
What it isn't
Hungry. The four onsite watering holes include everything from a steakhouse where you pick your chop tableside to a pool bar with s’more fixin’s prepped for the waterside firepla
What we think
Pampering is the number one item on the to-do list at Four Seasons Vail, where services include gratis use of their house car (a Mercedes Benz SUV) and the highly coveted perk of being the first skier on the chair lift (i.e. the first to make tracks in fresh powder) thanks to their “First Chair” experience bookable with the ski concierge. Younger guests will find themselves thoroughly spoiled, with in-room camping tents, free meals for tots 5 and under at Flame Restaurant, and mini-me robes and slippers ready for apres-ski lesson movie nights. Unsurprisingly, guest rooms are tricked out, with ginormous floor plans (starting at 575 square feet, these are the largest in Vail), gas fireplaces and furnished balconies that feel tailor-made for cocoa hour.
You're here because
You loathe planning, and the resort has pre-organized an abundant list of activities to choose from, including dog sledding, art walks and off-road Jeep driving.
The Moment
There’s only one thing lovelier than sipping green tea by the spa’s flickering fireplace, and that’s steeping in the Eucalyptus Steam Room. One breath, and any stress you’ve held on to dissipates into the ether.
