The Sebastian Vail

Rustic Meets Ravishing

What it is

A new, cozy hideaway geared towards snow bunnies and adventurers (the ski valet becomes a bike valet come summer).

What it isn't

Adults-only. Kiddo-oriented thrills include a Tykes Room complete with a karaoke stage and a camp that’s perfected the art of avoiding the dreaded “I’m bored” (activities may include making snow slime and cooking classes complete with mini chef outfits).

What we think

Luxury hotels can get a reputation for—well, we’ll just say it—stuffiness. The Sebastian tries hard to maintain blissful pampering with unbridled fun, as evidenced by their Sebastian Sunday Funday brunch (bottomless Bloody Marys and buttermilk silver dollar pancakes with Geauga County maple syrup are just the beginning). The merrymaking continues in the heated pool, where waterfalls flow forth just like they do in adjacent mountain springs and they’ve thoughtfully arranged two adults-only hot tubs for true chillaxation. Did we mention the pool menu includes Moet & Chandon ice pops? See: fun.

You're here because

The Sebastian’s spa is Colorado-inspired (you can add Colorado-sourced CBD-oil to your massages, natch).

The Moment

You’ve had your share of après-ski revelry. Who could forget that night of tabletop, ski-booted dancing in Gstaad? But tonight at the hotel’s Frost Bar will go down in history as your favorite, because you’ve never before encountered such a divine post-slalom menu. Your order: piping hot churros with house-made dulce de leche and a frothy Mother of Dragons cocktail (Belvedere peach nectar vodka, lemon, egg white, and all manner of deliciousness).

Restaurants & Bars

Frost bar - A favorite with guests and locals alike, serving craft cocktails, microbrews, Vail's largest Scotch and tequila collections, delectable small plates and more.

Leonora restaurant - Alpine bistro and tapas bar, is energetic with a warm ambiance and cuisine inspired by the Alps, the Pyrenees and our own Rocky Mountains. At the centerpiece of the restaurant is a 1,000 bottle wine silo featuring exquisite wines from around the world.

The Sebastian is just steps from Vail’s main pedestrian thoroughfare filled with more than 100 boutiques, restaurants, clubs and galleries.

Location

Across from the slopes in Vail Village, just a 9 minute stroll from Gondola One.
