Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach

Luxury Living

What it is

A residential-ready all-suite tower on the sand, with three restaurants, a foodie market, gleaming spa and rooftop pool deck.

What it isn't

Skipping the gym. The 24-hour fitness center has floor-to-ceiling windows that peep out on the turquoise ocean, plus sunrise beach yoga and a fleet of loaner bikes.

What we think

For anyone who wants to check-in to blissful vacay mode forever—or at least get that sense for the duration of their stay—Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is the spot. Because each suite is set up like your full time residence, it instantly feels like home (if your home had a postcard perfect panorama of the turquoise Atlantic Ocean or the yachts bobbing on the Intracoastal waterway). Even “starter” suites are equipped with galley kitchens that Ina Garten herself would be happy with—yep, that’s a Sub-Zero fridge and touchscreen stovetop—along with furnished balconies and a spacious 480-square-foot floor plan. For a suite that qualifies as ginormous, go for the One Bedroom Suite Poolside Two Queens—at 1,400 square feet, with a full size kitchen and dining room.

You're here because

Conrad has a kids camp, Go H20!, that will have your littles ages 4-17 exploring the clear sea—snorkeling, learning about tides and doing treasure dives—with pros (literally, each staffer has a degree in marine studies).

The Moment

Bellied up to the sushi bar at the hotel’s new Japanese-Korean fusion restaurant, Takato, you can’t believe your tastebuds. This shrimp tempura roll with mentaiko aioli is the best you’ve ever had—especially paired with the passion fruit Shikoku Margarita.

Restaurants & Bars

Atlas - contemporary lobby bar offering gourmet bar bites, wines, craft beers and signature cocktails

Cornucopia - gourmet market offering pastries, artisan baking and organic products, as well as flatbreads, juices and fresh-made sandwiches

Spinnaker - pool bar and grill

Takato - Japanese and Korean fusion

Location

A prime stretch of Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, right on the sand. You’re within walking distance of Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, 15 minutes north and the place to hike through a native maritime tropical hardwood hammock ecosystem spotting gopher tortoises and diamondback terrapin turtles.
