Palm Beach, Florida
The Brazilian Court Hotel
Landmark Luxury
What it is
A 1920s Spanish Colonial star with 80 pampering rooms, a restaurant by Daniel Boulud, al fresco pool, salon, and loaner bikes.
What it isn't
Set directly on the beach. But with their setup, you won’t miss it: gratis BMW car service will take you the two block drive like a celeb, and you’ll find custom fringed beach chairs and umbrellas awaiting you in the sand.
What we think
Palm Beach’s reputation for star-studded luxury owes a lot to the Brazilian Court: everyone from Amelia Hearst and Greta Garbo to Marjorie Merriweather Post stayed there, once upon a time. But if you think it’s resting on its laurels, think again. The recently revamped boutique hotel is tailor-made for today’s discerning guests with spacious guestrooms (starting at 400 square feet) adorned in paradisiacal finishes like mahogany, marble and hand-painted wisteria wall panels. We love that each one is fitted with plush amenities that include jetted marble bathtubs, twice daily maid service (including turn down), pillowtop beds, and robes and slippers tailor-made for nights raiding the mini bar. Upgrade to a Luxury One Bedroom Suite to feel like you’re a Palm Beach local; the rooms are 700 square feet and fitted with separate living rooms.
You're here because
Service is nothing less than exemplary, from the pool attendant offering you sunscreen to the 24-hour concierge who can arrange all manner of thrills, from arrival gifts to sumptuous private dinners.
The Moment
Ensconced in your plump leather banquette under pecky cypress ceilings glimmering with shells, you’re not sure what’s more delicious at Cafe Boulud: the setting, or the Florida stone crab claws with key lime aioli.
Restaurants & Bars
Café Boulud - open for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering modern French cuisine
Location
Smack dab in the center of Palm Beach, just two blocks from the ocean. Two blocks in the other direction, you’ll find The Society of the Four Arts, a 1936 botanical and sculpture garden.
