Atlanta, Georgia
Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta
Southern Star
What it is
A 244-room paean to show-stopping luxury, with an indoor saltwater pool and a spa that specializes in custom experiences.
What it isn't
Thirsty. Locals rub elbows with visiting celebs at Bar Margot, the hotel’s handcrafted cocktail lounge; go on weekend nights for DJ sets until 1 a.m. (the restaurant maintains a music library of more than 10,000 vinyl records).
What we think
There is no bad room at Four Seasons Atlanta. Even the starter category, Superior City-View Room, starts at a ginormous 450-square-feet and is fitted with marble-lined bathrooms, DVD players, down pillows, and private bars that are ready to raid in your fluffy Four Seasons robe. If you need even more sprawling room, you can’t go wrong with a 900-square-foot Corner Suite; the 19th-floor gems have multiple entrances (ideal if you’re traveling with teens), two full marble bathrooms with Bvlgari toiletries, and a prime view of Atlanta’s glimmering skyline. Have at least one restaurant at Park 75; the OMG French Toast truly is worthy of its name, thanks to strawberry compote and trimble cream cheese.
You're here because
Four Seasons Atlanta prides itself on pampering guests of all ages, from child-sized bathrobes to warm cookies delivered at bedtime (yep).
The Moment
There’s only one thing better than a good happy hour, and that’s a good spa happy hour. This evening, you’re sipping a flute of prosecco in your robe while awaiting your two 25-minute treatments: a coconut-scented tropical body sugar scrub and a hydrating herbal hair mask. Say “Aaaaah.”
