Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina

Coastal Queen

What it is

An ultra-luxe tower on a white sand Oahu cove, with multiple lagoon pools, a spa with treatments under the stars, and access to Ko Olina Gulf Club.

What it isn't

Overrun with unruly kids. Need some peace? Settle in at the new Serenity Pool (sshhh) or Adult Pool.

What we think

When you think of “paradise,” what you’re probably picturing is a place exactly like this: where lush lawns dotted with palm trees tumble down to glass-clear turquoise seas. The trouble with paradise is that it’s nearly impossible to match, design-wise—it’s difficult for anything man-made to measure up. But rooms here at Four Seasons are every bit worthy of the Elysian beyond their lanais. For one thing, they’re enormous (starting at a whopping 640-square-feet) and adorned in tropically-inspired patterns and rattans. Amenities include pre-set mood lighting; downy beds that can be tailored to your sleep needs; customizable mini bars; and terry robes for lounging while you await your 3 a.m. room service cravings to arrive. For the true Beyonce experience, book the Pacific Suite, which has a jaw-dropping lanai with a plunge pool overlooking the sea. Paradise, found.

You're here because

You’re in desperate need of a second (third?) honeymoon, and romantic activities abound here, including private champagne dinners set along the sea at sunset.

The Moment

Polynesian culture inspired the spa here, and you don’t want to miss out. But 10 minutes into your Fire and Ice massage—which alternates between massaging you with hot basalt rocks and cool stones—you’ve never felt more chillaxed, and don’t think you’ll ever go back to Standard Swedish.
