What it is

A landmarked 34-story tower with a rooftop observation deck, French spa, crescent-shaped al fresco pool, and three buzzing restaurants.

What it isn't

Just for grown-ups. New Orleans is more of a family destination than you’d think, especially here: parents can request an in-room Bayou Camping experience (complete with a teepee and lantern), loaner pool toys, kids menus in the restaurants, pint-sized bathrobes, and so much more.

What we think

In a city that prides itself on impromptu parades, living large is practically a law—and these guest rooms deliver. Even the most basic room category, Superior City-View Rooms, are expansive (a whopping 453-square-feet), with shiplap walls inspired by Mississippi riverboats, floor to ceiling windows, a marble-lined bathroom, and a well curated mini bar and Nespresso coffee maker to keep you going from beignet mornings to Mardis Gras nights. Four Seasons’ trademark luxury is everywhere, from the bedside controls for the window treatments to the L’Occitane toiletries. The River View One-Bedroom Suite is nothing less than sumptuous, with a panorama that Mark Twain himself could write a novella about and an oversized 813-square-foot floorplan. While you’re here, be sure to stop in at the locavore restaurant Miss River for dishes like creole cream cheese ice cream topped with osetra caviar. (See what we mean about living large?)

You're here because

You love a view, and this property has the only 360-degree observation deck in N’Awlins. It even spans two floors (the 33rd and 34th).

The Moment

After partying into the evening, you’re ready for a restorative day—and the serene spa is the perfect hidey hole. Today you’re treating yourself to a Detox Envelopment massage and micropuncture lab facial that makes you look as fresh as the crawfish etouffee you indulged in this morning.
