Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore

Skyscraper on the Harbor

What it is

A gleaming glass tower on the Inner Harbor, with a cabana-flanked rooftop pool and a sleek and tranquil spa.

What it isn't

Hungry. There are three dining options here, including a poolside bar where staffers will happily bring a lobster roll with herb aioli and a coconut mojito to your sunlit daybed.

What we think

The word “glam” doesn’t begin to capture the experience at this new star on the Baltimore waterfront, where floor-to-ceiling glass windows maximise every centimeter of what’s an undeniably jaw-dropping view. Guest rooms are nothing short of ginormous (starting at 502-square-feet), and most have balconies. We love the aptly-named Serene Suite, which has a kitchen worthy of Ina Garten (including Sub Zero and Wolf appliances), plus a living room with a gas fireplace that peeps out on the water, tucked within its 1,736-square-foot floor plan. But whichever room you pick, know that pampering comes with the territory; gratis services include overnight shoeshine, twice daily housekeeping, turndown, and a doting concierge that speaks multiple languages.

You're here because

Kids have their very own wee red carpet rolled out for them, including amenities tailored to their ages, loaner cribs and playpens, babysitters at-the-ready, and a concierge who can book all manner of family exploits, including topnotch Orioles tickets.

The Moment

After soaking into a thoroughly blissful state in the spa’s modernist window front hot tub, you’re more than ready for your treatment: a Himilayan salt scrub and Ayurvedic scalp massage. Aaaaah.

Restaurants & Bars

Maximon - Contemporary South American and Mexican-inspired cuisine complete with stunning harbor views and elevated Spanish-style courtyard surroundings.

The Bygone - Located atop the hotel on the 29th floor, The Bygone pays homage to the roaring ’20s reputation with indulgent foods and cocktails.

Splash Pool Bar & Grill - Order a watermelon and basil mule to your chaise or pull up an umbrella-shaded chair for a post-swim crab cocktail at this laid-back, poolside bar.

In-Room Dining - Enjoy healthy and satisfying meals and snacks 24 hours a day in your room.

Location

In Baltimore’s centuries-old Fells Point district, just a half mile walk from The Horse You Came in on Saloon, where Edgar Allen Poe reportedly had his last drink.
