Raffles Boston

Luxe Lair

What it is

An ultra chic, brand new outpost of the legendary Singapore hotel brand, with three Instagrammable restaurants, an airy terrace and a speakeasy.

What it isn't

All business. The hotel will have an immaculate spa with private hydrotherapy baths, ice showers, and a gym with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the skyline.

What we think

Raffles is iconic for a reason. The original hotel in Singapore has turned heads since it opened in 1887; now, the brand has hotels everywhere from Paris to Dubai and, yes, Boston, which flung open its gleaming doors in autumn of 2023. We love that the guest rooms here feel both historic (with their wood floors, gilt details, and crown molding) and thoroughly modern, thanks to sculptural furniture in the seating areas and glowing LED lighting tucked throughout. The Premier Rooms are 450 square feet, with sumptuous rugs underfoot, Garnier Thiebault bed linens, marble-lined bathrooms with rain showers, and Guerlain amenities that Francophiles adore. To treat yourself like a famous Boston-raised celeb like Mark Wahlberg might, go for the 700 square foot Signature Suites. Each has a separate living room and art that’s worthy of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

You're here because

Two words: butler service.

The Moment

Dangling above your channel tufted banquette at Amar, the hotel’s buzzing Portuguese restaurant: a light fixture that looks like an electrified cherry blossom tree…made even more visually delicious by the roving rare Port trolley.

Restaurants & Bars

Amar - Featuring a menu influenced and inspired by Portuguese cuisine using local ingredients

Long Bar and Terrace - A welcoming ambiance to savor a lobster roll or a glass of Champagne

Speakeasy The menu includes low- and non-alcoholic drinks, along with spirits and cocktails.

Café Pastel - Serves beverages, pastries, breakfast, and a variety of healthy snacks.

In Back Bay, a six block walk from Boston Common—where the locals have been picnicking (and revolutionizing) since 1634.
