What we think

For anyone who wants to spend all day soaking up city life, but retreat to the country, Pendry is the spot: and it just so happens the bucolic vibe is set right on Midtown’s 33rd Street. Thanks to their floor-to-ceiling windows, the small footprint of starter City King rooms (285-square-feet) feels ginormous; we love that each one has sleek blonde wood furnishes galore, marble bathrooms and pampering amenities, including Fili D’Oro bed linens, bespoke toiletries from MiN, and SMART tv’s. For a truly megawatt experience, you can’t do much better than the Skyline Corner One Bedroom Suite, a nearly 900-square-foot hideaway with a powder room, walk-in-closet, and two (two!) living rooms. Local New Yorkers will salivate.
