Queens, New York City
The Boro Hotel
Airy Idyll
What it is
A loft-like retreat with a seasonal rooftop bar overlooking Manhattan’s cityscape, a beloved pizza joint, 24/7 gym, lobby cafe and guest rooms with floor to ceiling windows.
What it isn't
Uneducated. The hotel maintains a well curated library with books from the iconic Strand Bookstore.
What we think
Even the most seasoned New Yorkers would kill for a Studio at the Boro Hotel, which have spacious 405 square foot floor plans, deep soaking tubs, hardwood floors, beds swaddled in Italian linens, and—their trademark—floor to ceiling windows worthy of an Aaron Sorkin show. We particularly love the King or Queen Balcony Rooms, though; despite a smaller footprint (260 square feet) they come with private balconies that allow you to take in the skyline properly—al fresco. Because despite what you might have heard, there’s nothing more reviving than a fresh whiff of New York air. Here, it smells like the East River—and possibility.
You're here because
The hotel is pet friendly, for a small additional cleaning fee—which means Fido can take a very big bite out of the Big Apple.
The Moment
After one cocktail on the roof at twilight, you’re more than ready for pizza—and so thrilled that some of the best in New York can be found right on-site at Beebe’s. Your order today: the Blank Page, with mozzarella, ricotta, pecorino and garlic.

Location
The buzzing heart of Long Island City, an 8 minute drive from MoMA’s PS1—an outpost of the legendary museum housed in an 1892 school building with Romanesque Revival architecture.
