Midtown, New York City
The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue
Contemporary luxury in a central spot
What it is
A modern high-rise hotel with spacious rooms.
What it isn't
A boutique hotel with a vivacious personality.
What we think
This 60-story tower sits on Fifth Avenue, just a few blocks north of the Empire State Building. With contemporary style in soothing beige hues, the hotel is a welcome departure from more classically styled luxury New York hotels. One of the biggest draws is size of the guest rooms; of 234 rooms, 17 which are spacious suites, the smallest begins at 420 square feet—a true luxury in a cramped city. Some suites add sleeper sofas and kitchen and laundry facilities, making them ideal for families or extended stays. Regardless of size, the rooms gleam with rosewood and walnut millwork, oversized windows and marble bathrooms. There is also a luxurious spa that features treatments based off the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a 24-hour fitness center and a restaurant, Ai Fiori, from pasta maestro Michael White.
You're here because
You want spacious rooms in a central location.
Soaking in the marble bathtub, alternating your gaze between the full-length window with its view of Manhattan’s skyscrapers and the bathroom mirror, which doubles as a flat-screen television.
Restaurants & Bars
Ai Fiori- Michelin Star rated- contemporary Mediterranean with both french and Italian influences.
Measure- cocktail lounge with full menu (BLD), continental cruise
A very convenient (though frankly nondescript) parcel of Midtown South, halfway between the Empire State Building and Bryant Park.
