Providence, Rhode Island
What it is
A circa 1887 brick building transformed into a modern 47-room urban retreat, with a rooftop bar that includes a members only club, high tech gym, and 24 hour Zoom Room.
What it isn't
Old World. Guests can expect very “now” technology in their rooms, including heated towel racks, heated bidet toilets, Dyson hair dryers, LED makeup mirrors, and keyless entry.
What we think
Providence has long been an art town, thanks to R.I.S.D., one of the most lauded design schools on the planet. So it’s perhaps no surprise that The Beatrice has embraced aesthetic brilliance at every turn. Guest rooms (beginning at 270 square feet) are sumptuously adorned, with herringbone floors, soft velvet upholstery and bed linens made in Milan, Italy, by Mascioni. If you want to feel like you own the town, book the 850 square foot Barton Suite, which is lofted five floors up, overlooks Exchange Street, and has a fully separate living room that’s an ideal spot for sipping a Nespresso in your robe.
You're here because
Pets are treated like four-legged royalty (for a small fee) with in-room dog bowls and beds, locally baked dog treats from Jack’s Snacks, and in-the-know staffers that can direct you to tail-waggingly good nearby dog parks.
Brunch at Bellini, the hotel’s on-point Italian restaurant, is unlike anything you’ve ever seen, with an abundance of everything your hangry heart desires, including an Italian charcuterie spread and eggs benedict. But it’s the blissful tiramisu that tells you no other breakfast will ever compare.
