Bowie House Hotel

Texas Forever

What it is

A modern yet serene respite with earthy interiors, a wellness-oriented spa, six buzzing bars and restaurants, and guest rooms that feel as big as Texas.

What it isn't

Blah. Staff have curated experiences for guests that are truly transformative, including behind the scenes tours at the nearby Blackland Distillery and songwriting sessions with Fort Worth’s most iconic musicians.

What we think

If a young Texan like Willie Nelson were reincarnated as a sumptuous hotel, he might look something like this: warm, welcoming, and very of its place. Each room option here is as wide as the Texas skies, starting at a whopping 445 square feet. But we love that they feel as local to their home turf as possible, with their hat racks, modernist-yet-cowboy original art, and custom bar carts. Our favorite stay might be the Balcony King Studio; they sit on the uppermost floors, with floor to ceiling windows that open onto a private balcony peering out on the turquoise pool. Valor and swagger, indeed.

You're here because

It’s among the most stunning show ponies in the entire Auberge Resort Collection stable.

The Moment

Sitting fireside at Bricks and Horses, the hotel’s cinematic chophouse, you could swear you see Willie Nelson at the bar. But you’re too enraptured by your wild boar chop with roasted apple to check, the ultimate testament to deliciousness.
