Seattle, Washington

Hotel 1000 Seattle

Stylish in Seattle

What it is

A 120-room retreat overlooking Puget Sound, with a lauded spa and golf simulator.

What it isn't

Sleepy. Everything from the room service to the gym is open 24/7, whenever the mood for elliptical training or French fries strikes.

What we think

Any discriminating Boeing, Amazon or Starbucks executive would find plenty to love about Hotel 1000, Seattle. For one thing, the business amenities are topnotch—with zippy fiber optic internet (free, natch) and cordless handsets for all those international calls (also free) you’ll be making. More importantly, rooms are as au currant as the hipsters flocking to Capitol Hill—complete with pedestal soaking tubs that fill from the ceiling, plush green velvet and gray upholstery, and Julien Farel toiletries (a Francophile favorite). In a city of fab restaurants, even the locals beeline to All Water Seafood & Oyster Bar for the locavore menu; go at happy hour for clams & mussels with andouille, preserved lemon, vermouth and grilled baguette for less than $10, and don’t be surprised to see Bill Gates at the table next to you.

You're here because

You are a golf fanatic, but it rains a lot in Seattle (if you haven’t heard). This is the only hotel in Seattle with a virtual reality golf club where you can play more than 50 courses around the globe (Pebble Beach is just the beginning).

The Moment

After an hour of breathing easy in the spa’s relaxation lounge, it’s Pamper-Me-O’Clock. And you couldn’t have picked a better treatment than the Sea Salt Scrub. After 50 minutes, you emerge like a pearl from a mussel in Puget Sound: glowing, fresh, resplendent.

Restaurants & Bars

BOKA Resturant and BAR - Known for Executive Chef Kerri Roach’s contemporary, West Coast inspired cuisine

In downtown Seattle, three blocks from the water (and ferry to Bainbridge Island). Don’t miss the Seattle Art Museum, three blocks north, or the touristy-for-good-reason 1907 Pike Place Market, an eight block stroll away.
