What we think
Finding topnotch luxury in what feels like the middle of nowhere is rare—yet worth every single mile of expedition. Because once you arrive at a place like Awasi Atacama, you’ll feel like you’re in your own private paradise—one you’ll never want to leave. Each guest suite was designed in partnership with a regional historian using the area’s indigenous pre-Incan adobe and stone structures as their muse; expect rounded walls and soaring woven ceilings. And yet the 538 square foot-minimum spaces are all equipped with the luxe trappings today’s glitterati demand in a place like this, including indoor and outdoor showers, patios, a solarium, a walk-in wardrobe, and a desk for those sometimes inescapable Zoom calls. Arrive hungry; chef Juan Pablo Mardones whips up the best seasonal dishes imaginable using Chilean fruits of the earth—all artfully plated.
You're here because
The property is a member of the illustrious Relais & Châteaux, which means it’s practically guaranteed to be one of the best stays of your life. Bonus: It’s carbon neutral.
You weren’t sure what you loved best about this trip until you awoke with a start in the wee hours and were greeted with the most magical stars you’ve ever seen—glitzing up the sky above, boundless and beautiful.
