Hotel Las Islas
What it is
A show-stopping resort where the jungle meets the Caribbean Sea with thatch-roofed bungalows, a tech-forward spa, and five breezy and beautiful bars and restaurants.
What it isn't
Just about lazing on the beach. Curated activities here span the gamut, whether you want to soar over The Corales del Rosario National Natural Park in a helicopter or swim amid the glowing bioluminescence under the stars.
What we think
Ever wanted to vacation in a screen saver sprung to life? Las Islas is the spot. Each guest room option here is paradisiacal: a thatch roofed bungalow with soaring ceilings, a mosquito-netted canopy bed, and either a private pool or blissful Jacuzzi. We love the 753 square foot Treetop Bungalows for their verdant panorama of the surrounding tropical forest, and the Sea Level Bungalow with Private Pools, which peer out on their own mirror-like pools set over the Caribbean Sea. Whichever room you pick, expect luxuries galore—including Hermès toiletries, gratis zippy WiFi, a minibar, robes and slippers, flatscreen TV, and—phew—air conditioning. While you’re here, exploring the nearby mangroves by boat is all but required (keep an eye out for resident green parrots).
You're here because
You’ve been indulging in futuristic, Jetsons-worthy spa treatments lately, and the hotel spa is up to the challenge with options like isochronic sound baths and oxygenating facials.
From your rooftop perch at Las Islas Bar, you’ve taken in a pink sunset that spans in every single direction. The only thing better than the coquito cocktail in your glass? Knowing that this bar is open 24/7. Vacation challenge accepted.
