Guest rooms are just as carefully planned, with textural finishes, organic bed linens, and oversized floor plans (starting at an enormous 547 square feet) that look out on jaw-dropping scenery. We love the 820 square foot Ocean View Terrace Studio Suite, which overlooks Hanalei Bay, as well as the 1,798 square foot Pu-u Poa Ocean Loft Suite, where the deep soaking tub and separate living room will make you feel like Hawaiian royalty. While you’re here, we highly recommend stopping in at The Juice Bar daily; their smoothies and cold-pressed juices (such as the Selfie—with kale, chard, ginger, apple, fermented chili pepper, and more) are made from locally sourced produce and as fresh as they come.

All your life, you’ll never recover from the decadence of this breakfast at 1 Kitchen—which feels both luxurious and so local you know it can never be recreated on the mainland. Between the black lava salted papaya, lemon ricotta pancakes with cultured butter, and Kaua’i Avocado toast dusted with lomi lomi tomatoes, pickled onion, and local cage free egg, you’re not sure what you love more….and you like it.
