Miami Beach, Florida
Carillon Miami Wellness Resort
Hit refresh and reinvigorate your mind, body and soul
What it is
The ultimate seaside spa (amenities include a therapeutic igloo) inside a 1958 Miami Beach icon.
What it isn't
Off-putting. The guest experience is tailored to wellness, but if you want to do nothing but sip frothy cocktails in the Cabana Pool Bar, have at it.
What we think
A “Wellness Resort” that maintains more than 200 top-notch exercise classes a week could feel more like work than vacation, but the Carillon experience is anything but. Guests here have all the charms and thrills of a traditional resort (four pools, 750-feet of oceanfront sand) at their fingertips, yet not a chance of going home shaking their heads saying “diet starts tomorrow!” That’s because all the health-focused amenities are actually fun, whether you want to ascend the property’s two-story indoor rock climbing wall, take a warrior meditation class, or talk through your home’s feng shui with resident energy experts. All 150 rooms here are considered luxury suites, and you can’t go wrong; starting at 720-square-feet they’re among the largest in the city, and each one comes with a kitchen that would satisfy Ina Garten herself (appliances are Miele and KitchenAid).
You're here because
Among the many (many) resorts that claim to care about your health, Carillon actually does. How else do you explain the on-site ayurvedic experts, nutritionists and detoxing juice bar?
The Moment
After an afternoon of sunbathing and acupuncture, you’re sunkissed and blissfully exhausted. And grateful. Because being back in your suite, ensconced in Frette linens and eyeing the yachts bobbing on the adjacent turquoise sea through your floor-to-ceiling windows, is your own personal heaven.

Location
In North Beach, Miami, a peaceful reprieve from the South Beach throngs, just a ten-minute drive to the shops at Bal Harbour (don’t be surprised if your wardrobe goes down a size after a week here, and you need to go on a spree…).
