Four Seasons Washington, D.C.
Where Power Sleeps
What it is
A Georgetown mainstay for politicos with a Michelin-starred chef, an expansive spa (currently under renovation), 24/hour gym and a gleaming indoor pool.
What it isn't
Poorly serviced. This being a Four Seasons, everything is topnotch—whether you need assistance from the concierge, a dog walker, personal shopper, or dry-cleaner, right on the premises. Did we mention the twice daily housekeeping?
What we think
President Barack Obama has treated Michelle to many date nights at Bourbon Steak. And why not? When you’re a leader of the free world, you can indulge in the best. Rooms here are just as fabulous, even in the starting category: 385 square foot Deluxe Rooms are adorned in serene neutrals and fitted with limestone-lined bathrooms, down duvets and pillows, plush terry cloth robes, and toiletries from Salvatore Ferragamo. To stay where a visiting dignitary might, we recommend the Georgetown Suite with Terrace; it has a 1,220 square foot floor plan, separate living room, and fifth floor terrace that peers out on the Potomac River and C&O Canal, built circa 1850.
You're here because
The hotel’s collection of curated artwork is museum-worthy, and includes Andy Warhol’s “Indian Head Nickel” (1986) and Fernando Botero’s “Circus Woman” (2007).
The Moment
You don’t see any former Presidents at Bourbon Steak, but you think you might see some future ones. The crowd here is clearly going places. But tonight, it’s not changing the world that’s on your mind…it’s Chef Michael Mina’s divine Wagyu striploin, flown in from Japan—and worth every air mile.

Location
Three blocks from the Potomac in the buzzing heart of Georgetown, less than 10 minutes walk from Martin’s Tavern (where President Kennedy had breakfast with Jackie not long after clinching the 1960 election). Should you have any important business meetings to take at The White House, it’s a mere 11 minute drive.
