What we think

The 1909 marble Moorish building has brightly lit domes and minarets on its exterior—fittingly, given its location within the 19th-century fantasyland of Tivoli Gardens. But rather than a theme-park resort, inside the vibe is relaxed but decorous. Antique-stocked rooms (all but one of them overlooking the park) are studies in tasteful neutrals and chocolate hues, with pinewood floors and Øland granite. Local Geismar linens and birchwood-stocked fireplaces make them feel extra comfortable—much more homey than hotels usually do. Ask for the corner suite to listen to the summertime alfresco Tivoli Garden concerts in your bathrobe and slippers.
