Bora Bora, French Polynesia
The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort
Paradise Found
What it is
A screen saver of overwater villas sprung to resplendent life on 44 lagoon-side acres.
What it isn't
Close. But Bora Bora is worth the trip (there’s good reason The Bachelor franchise films there).
What we think
Paradise isn’t something that can be improved—unless you’re staying at The St. Regis Bora Bora. Because as much as we like an empty atoll, we love one that proffers all manner of luxury more. Here, you’ll have 24-hour butler service; plush villas with glass windows in the floor for eyeing the crystalline lagoon below; and a 13,000-square-foot Miri Miri Spa by CLARINS. Don’t leave without trying the traditional Taurumi massage, which is often used by locals to soothe babies but is equally swaddling for overworked adults.
You're here because
There is nothing like having 24-hour butler service on speed dial, whether you want a piping hot cuppa or a bath strewn with flower petals. And why not? This is paradise, after all.
The Moment
Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s only restaurant in the country is right here, and what a restaurant it is—with glass floor panels showing off the lagoon below, and a view of Mount Otemanu beyond. When they bring you your seared foie gras with papaya and vanilla chutney, you really do think about retiring here.
