Atlantis The Royal
An Impossible Marvel
Opening Announcement
Atlantis The Royal's opening is planned for March 2023.
What it is
A new 795 room megaresort on the Arabian gulf with a 22nd-floor infinity pool, hammam, and a whopping 17 restaurants, most by celeb chefs.
What it isn't
Standard-issue. That infinity pool we mentioned? It’s almost 300 feet long, and slung like a cloud between two towers that look as if they’re made of glass-clear legos sprung to life.
What we think
Atlantis is known for being over the top. But their Dubai property, set to open in 2021, takes it to another level, literally. In the skyscraping towers’ lobby alone, you’ll see a 32-foot-tall waterfall art feature and the biggest jellyfish tank in the world. Hungry? Choose from 17 bars and restaurants, many of them by bold-faced names in the food world—among them Jose Andres, Heston Blumenthal, Nobu Matsuhisa, and Iranian star Ariana Bundy. Of course, guest rooms are everything you’ve come to expect from Atlantis (i.e. absolutely jaw-dropping). In the Residences, you’ll find sleek glass-walled private pools that look like art installations and perfectly manicured secret gardens, just for you.
You're here because
You’ll have insider access at Atlantis, The Palm, and it’s seemingly bottomless thrills, including the top-ranked waterpark in the Middle East and an aquarium stocked with 65,000 marine animals.
The Moment
All those dreams you’ve had about flying were made real today in the sky pool, when you swam—free bird!—22 floors above the world. The only thing making the experience even better? Knowing you’ll be sipping whatever tipple you choose the second you’re back in your daybed.
