“When in Rome,” as the saying goes, you simply must indulge. The ghosts of Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck demand it. And the new W Rome was seemingly designed to pamper creative types, with its art-stocked halls and buzzing dining options. But it’s the guest rooms that feel truly sumptuous after a day spent strolling the cobblestones. Even the 247-square-foot “Fabulous room” is a treat, with its herringbone wood floors, channel tufted leather headboard, marble-lined bath and intricately paneled walls. Upgrade to the “Fantastic” for your own balcony; the “Cool Corner Balcony” also has its own separate sitting area, the perfect spot for your 7 a.m. espresso.
