Leeu Estates
Serene Oasis
What we think
Skylark only includes hotels that meet our stamp of approval. Our editorial review for this one isn’t ready yet — but we’re working on it! Below is the hotel’s own description.
Leeu Estates is located between the mountainside and river-just minutes away from the village of Franschhoek. It occupies a central position amongst vineyards, landscaped gardens, and fynbos—indigenous vegetation—in the Franschhoek valley. At the center of this working wine farm is the meticulously refurbished 19th century Manor House and spacious cottages, along with gardens, oak trees, and vineyards. The hotel has a restaurant, a wine cellar, two guest lounges, an honest bar, a spa, and a pool. The individually styled bedrooms and suites are filled with customized architectural detailing and tactile textures in calming color schemes. The luxury en-suite bathrooms have marble floors, double vanity tops, underfloor heating, heated towel rails, and generous showers and some also have free-standing bathtubs.
