Grand Cayman
The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman
Superstar of Seven Mile Beach
What it is
An oceanfront landmark with an activities list that would impress any playaholic.
What it isn't
Petite. The 144-acre campus on Seven Mile Beach encompasses 375 rooms, residential towers, six restaurants, two pools, a spa, a nine-hole golf course, even a water park.
What we think
On an island with limited space, The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman has managed to not only snag a prime parcel of land on Seven Mile Beach but to fill them with enough amenities to warrant a weeklong stay. And they've brought in top talent to ensure Ritz standards are met. Eric Ripert helms the signature restaurant, Blue, showing off some prized dishes from Le Bernardin. La Prairie runs the spa, Greg Norman designed the golf course, and Jean-Michel Cousteau runs the kids' environmental program. The 375 rooms are fitted with private terraces (many peeping out on the ocean—though only the residential towers are truly oceanfront), marble bathrooms with soaking tubs, and a soothing, stylish palette of periwinkle, sand and cloud whites.
You're here because
Your short-attention-span brood need multiple distractions, and you require best-in-class service, amenities and comfort.
The Moment
You’re not typically a fan of swim-up bars, but how can you turn it down at the Ritz? Besides, where else could you sip what’s reportedly Grand Cayman’s creamiest piña colada while practicing your treading?
