What it is
A pampering 99-room retreat within a circa 1838 former bank, with three dazzling restaurants and a wellness-focused spa.
What it isn't
Poorly serviced. Guests are treated to zippy gratis internet, daily housekeeping (including turndown), luxe toiletries, a loaner house car, and even butler service in the suites.
What we think
You might expect a hotel in a former bank to bankroll luxury, but this is next-level. Even the most basic “starter” Deluxe Room is 300-500 square feet, with parquet floors, a marble-lined bathroom and curated art collection—not to mention windows that peep out on the Petersplatz, the storied square where Beethoven had an apartment in 1799. For even more room to roam, consider a Premier Junior Suite; it has a nearly 700 square foot floor plan, plus a sitting room and outsized, spa-like bathroom that’s tailor-made for couples. To live like a local, the Hoffman House presidential suite is a 1,916-square-foot dream complete with a kitchen, dining room and French balcony overlooking the cityscape.
You're here because
The spa has it all, including a sauna, steam room, experience shower and products from the high-tech, physician-backed brand Augustinus Bader.
From your top floor window-side perch at Neue Hoheit Brasserie, you’re feeling on top of the world…or on top of Vienna, anyway. The only thing better is the food, including Austrian Dry Aged rib-eye and Beuschel bread dumplings with sour cream, chives and egg.
