Hotel Costes
Stylish and Storied
The spa, pool and fitness center are closed and under renovation until further notice
What it is
A 99-room hidden gem with sumptuous interiors, an Italian-inspired courtyard, a sceney bar and restaurant, intimate spa, and pool (currently under renovation).
What it isn't
Lacking in provenance. Celebrity guests have reportedly included everyone from Johnny Depp to Catherine Deneuve.
What we think
French interior designer Jacques Garcia is the man behind glitterati playland Hôtel Costes, and interiors are as dreamy as any Francophile could imagine. Guest rooms in the Saint-Honoré wing are fairy tales: even the 215 square foot “Bijou” option is fanciful, with its ornate silk wallcoverings, gilt furniture and courtyard views. Our favorite, though, is the 645 square foot Suite Saint-Honoré for its silk canopied bed, matching free-flowing window treatments, deep soaking tub and a patio overlooking its namesake street. The design is decidedly more airy and minimal in the Casatiglione wing, with expansive white-walled suites and lofts with emperor-size beds. We particularly j’adore the Grand Loft Jardin for its private terrace with true Emily in Paris views.
You're here because
The inner courtyard is a Parisian vision: stocked with formal sculptures worthy of the Louvre and delightfully overgrown gardens.
The Moment
You’ve wanted to eat at Jean-Louis Costes’ legendary restaurant ever since he designed it with Philippe Starck, back in 1984. Tonight ensconced in your dimly lit corner, taking in the live DJ sets, the only thing more delicious than the dish of tigre qui pleure is the buzzing scene around you.
