Paris, France
Le Narcisse Blanc & Spa
Romantic Revelry
What it is
Tucked within a stone Haussmann façade, this is Francophile living at its best—with glamorous interiors, a spa with a pool and hammam, and buzzing bar and restaurant.
What it isn't
Poorly serviced. Expect in-the-know concierges, room service, and even valet in an underground lot.
What we think
“Paris is a moveable feast,” Ernest Hemingway wrote. At Le Narcisse Blanc, come hungry to indulge. The hotel is everything Francophiles like Hemingway j’adore about this town and then some, from the design details to the dishes—each an addictive substance. All 30 rooms here are adorned with staggeringly high ceilings, charming Emily in Paris-worthy moldings, and elegant furniture. Because Classic Rooms begin at a cozy 193 square feet, we recommend a Deluxe Room: many have balconies, and all have generous nearly 300 square foot floor plans. To truly spread out a la Marie Antoinette, we like the Executive Room; it has a spacious sitting area and Italian shower and tub within its 344 square foot space (and—bonus—the woodwork is gilt in gold).
You're here because
The indoor pool is stunning and fed by waterfalls, and the spa treatments are exactly what’s required to combat jetlag—including sea salt scrubs.
The Moment
Even in a city like Paris, Chef Bruno Aubin’s menu wows. Tonight, it’s the dessert you’ll be dreaming of as you drift off to dreamland: a rice pudding made with puffed rice, roasted hazelnuts and citrus caramel.
