What it is

A centuries-old sheep farm transformed into an ultra-chic 247-acre retreat with a glitzy spa and hammam, an 18-hole golf course, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and more.

What it isn't

Just for grown-ups. The hotel has a devoted children’s program during high season where littles from 3 to 12 can play in the “gypsy wagon” kids club, make pottery, weave friendship bracelets, and collage-like Picasso.

What we think

For fans of all things Provençal, this 30-room hotel is an utter dream: a place where the blissful landscape and fanciful regional vernacular is embraced full throttle. Rooms are surprisingly modern, but artful, with sculptural lighting fixtures, wall sculptures, beautiful millwork, and blonde wood floors. Classic rooms are 269 square feet and fitted with Nespresso machines, Bose sound systems, and zippy free Wifi; we think it’s worth treating yourself to a Suite Terrace for its separate living space and courtyard pool views from the 592 square foot floor plan. While you’re here, we recommend taking each and every breakfast al fresco in the garden; the spread is sumptuous and includes buttery yet crisp croissants, viennoiseries, honey from the hotel’s own hives, and so much more.

Activities are endless. Guests can visit their agroforestry farm, swim in the hotel’s three pools, ride e-bikes along the fields, hike to nearby caves, play pétanque, and oh-so-much more.

Restaurant l'Aupiho - The table, starred by the Michelin Guide 4 years ago, offers a journey to the heart of the unique universe of its chef, Lieven van Aken, made of natural treasures cultivated on site and of deviations in Flanders.

The Bistro - In summer as in winter, the Bistro de l’Aupiho cooks with care for its guests, after the 18th hole, or a stop along the way for a gourmet lunch in a casual atmosphere.

The Bar - That of get-togethers, relaxation, reading, warming oneself in front of the fireplace, playing as a family, or simply observing what is there, inside of us or around us.

The Brunch - Every Sunday and on New Year’s Day, the Winter Garden of the Domain is open for brunch. The tables are set to welcome guests, gourmets, food lovers, regulars of this timeless gathering, like a Sunday that never ends.
