InterContinental Berlin

Elegance on High

What it is

A 558-room, 12-story tower with a Michelin-starred restaurant, 11,000 square foot spa (complete with a pool and terrace), and their legendary service.

What it isn't

Brand spanking new. The hotel is something of a local icon, and was originally built in 1958 by then-starchitects William Pereira and Charles Luckman.

What we think

Streamlined sophistication is everywhere at InterContinental Berlin. Every guest room here feels like a suite, with their generous floor plans and plush custom furniture (note the soaring, mirror-flanked headboards, push-button bedside controls, and window scenes with lush views over Berlin. We particularly love the 1 King Premium City View High Floor, a 430 square foot retreat with a size-able living room and bathroom that feels more like your own personal spa. If you’re the type who loves a gratis perk, we recommend the Club Level option; you’ll be able to indulge in private breakfasts and tipples throughout the day in their devoted lounge with panoramas over the cityscape.

You're here because

The spa is equipped with everything you need to Live Your Best Vacay Life, including treatments like honey detox massages, a multi-room sauna, whirlpool, and mosaic-lined swimming pool.

The Moment

Hugos garnered a Michelin star handily, but now that you’re here, you’re thinking they deserve a whole galaxy. From your table overlooking the skyline on the 14th floor, everything sends you into outer orbit…especially the A5 Kagoshima Wagyu beef with wild cauliflower and fermented pepper.

Restaurants & Bars

Hugos Restaurant - Michelin starred kitchen with a breathtaking view. Be enchanted by the view from the 14th floor while enjoying our authentically seasoned dishes.

L.A. Café - Locally sourced organic produce or help yourself to delicacies from the tempting Asian buffet.

Marlene Bar & Restaurant - Locally inspired delights from our menu

Location

Tucked within the Tiergarten neighborhood, adjacent to the beloved Zoologischer Garten Berlin—i.e., a zoo that originally opened in 1844 and is still a must-see sight among locals and visiting globetrotters alike.
