Mykonos, Greece
Cavo Tagoo Mykonos
Seafront Stunner
What it is
A grand Grecian retreat that feels like it’s lofted over the water, with cloud-white guest rooms, a spa inspired by the sea, and one of the most lauded mezze joints around.
What it isn't
Poorly serviced. The concierges here are gems and happy to arrange everything from helicopter charters to loaner yachts during your stay.
What we think
On an island as jaw dropping as Mykonos, it takes a lot to compete. But Cavo Tagoo Mykonos is everything one could crave from their Mykonos vacation. That begins in the rooms themselves, which are adorned in a color palette of bleach white and blonde wood…all the better to put the focus on the cerulean seas beyond the windows. It’s worth splurging on a room with a pool (you won’t want to get out of it); the 430 square foot Cave Pool Suite is transfixing, with its pristine turquoise pool under a de facto fave peering out on the Aegean. Heaven really is a place on earth.
You're here because
You like to look your best on vacation (it makes you enjoy it all so much more), and the hotel has a hair and nail salon in addition to a spa with glow-inducing goji berry facials.
The Moment
You’ve had your share of Greek food—all delectable—but nothing quite so addictive as the menu tonight at Meraki, with its crisp tiger prawns with honey mayo; chargrilled lobster with lemon butter; and wagyu sirloin, all served in the sea air.
