The architects behind Cosme (the Athens-based firm ID Laboratorium) were inspired by tradition—with a twist. So yes, you’ll find whitewashed walls and stone aplenty, reminiscent of nearby fishing villages. But you’ll also find thoroughly modern design elements—including a sculptural infinity pool and art pieces by regional rising artists like Christina Mandilari of Naked Summers. Guest rooms are as boundless-feeling as the sky here, thanks to roomy floor plans and restful neutral color palettes. Even the starter room category—Earth Suites—are large, at 376 square feet, with a walk-in rainshower and sitting spot, plus a terrace with an al fresco eating space. For an even more cinematic choice, we love the Ocean Suite—it overlooks the turquoise Aegean Sea from both your plush Luxury Collection bed and private terrace. Don’t miss at least one treatment at the spa; the pomegranate body scrub is worth a trip alone.
