Four Seasons Hotel Milano
Heavenly Hideaway
What it is
A former 15th century convent revamped into an ultra-chic stay, with a modernist spa, 14-meter lap pool, and a Rossano Ferreti salon. Right in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, the hotel's bar Stilla is open all day for morning straight-up espressos, shifting to pre-dinner aperitivo and ending with unique, polished cocktails accompanied by daily DJ sets. Flooded with light and eclectically stylish contemporary furniture, the property's restaurant ZELO offers both light meals during the day and gourmet dishes at night, showcasing Executive Chef Fabrizio Borraccino’s culinary principles: thoughtful Italian cuisine with meticulously sourced ingredients.
What it isn't
Overly modernized. The architects kept the most beautiful ancient aspects of the structure (such as the 19th century vaulted brick ceilings over the pool); you’re in a city that was founded in 590 BC, and it should feel that way.
What we think
Four Seasons Hotel Milano is a masterpiece of Italian sophistication, where centuries-old architecture meets contemporary comfort. The hotel’s rooms and suites are spacious and impeccably designed, featuring rich fabrics, marble bathrooms, and views of the tranquil courtyard or city streets. The spa is a sanctuary of serenity, offering treatments designed to relax and rejuvenate, complemented by a serene indoor pool. Situated steps from Milan’s high-end boutiques and iconic landmarks, the hotel provides an ideal blend of convenience and exclusivity for travelers seeking a luxurious base in the city.
You're here because
The spa—designed by Patricia Urquiola—is a jewel box favorite of the glitterati. No wonder, with their candle massages, Sicilian almond body scrubs, and cryo facials.
The Moment
From your plump leather banquette at Zelo, it’s easy to see why Executive Chef Fabrizio Borraccino is so beloved in Milan. After you indulge in the caviar tasting menu, the fried stuffed zucchini flowers and seared octopus are in order…and all divine, as the nuns that once lived here might say.
