Casa Di Langa
Hilltop High Life
What it is
The pride of Piedmont: a 39-room, 103-acre estate amid the vineyards with an organic spa, al fresco pool, locavore restaurant with its own biodynamic garden and more.
What it isn't
Blah. Activities here are bucket-list worthy, including Piedmontese cooking classes with their chefs and hot air balloon flights above the rolling hills.
What we think
For anyone who wants to indulge in ancient Piedmont delights in a streamlined modern envelope, Casa di Langa is the spot. Guest rooms here look as if they were torn from the pages of Elle Decor, with their blonde wood canopy beds, soaring exposed beam ceilings, and art pieces that could take pride of place at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Each room has perks aplenty, including a waterfall shower, private terrace, and Le Labo toiletries; our favorite is arguably the Suite Alta Langa for its ginormous 678 square foot interior and 333 square foot terrace, plus truly luxe amenities like deep soaking tubs, an espresso machine, and Dyson hair dryer for your most glamorous vacay hair ever.
You're here because
The hotel is more than beautiful, it’s sustainable: they use everything from biodegradable coffee pods to organic mattresses, and have zero single-use plastics on site.
The Moment
From the moment you step foot in the hotel’s restaurant, Fàula, you know exactly why it was included in the Michelin Guide. It’s the type of place people dream about, thanks to airy yet artful interiors, doting service, and dishes like the dinner before you: hake fresh from the Ligurian Sea.
