Marbella Club Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa
Barefoot luxury at its best
What it is
Marbella is all fun, all the time.
What it isn't
Adults-only, thank to their 5,000-square-meter Kids Club.
What we think
When a hotel has significantly more suites (78) than standard rooms (37), you know their focus is Luxury with a capital L. It’s abundantly evident at this Andalusian-style property; founded in the 1950’s by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe a.k.a. the “Party King”, lush plantings by the prince (orange, avocado, banana and fig trees) now shroud the former estate in leafy coolness. You can play clay-court tennis Serena Williams smacked a ball around on at the nearby Puente Romano Tennis Club, ride Arabian and French horses in the equestrian center, practice your drive on the 18-hole Dave Thomas-designed golf course, or laze about by the pool, lunching on the spit-roasted day’s catch on your sunbed.
You're here because
Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant were guests here, and it remains as cinematic as ever.
Sitting by a crackling fire in the Deco-inspired Champagne Bar, you’ve lost yourself in a dog-eared copy of The Sun Also Rises—that is until the waiter stops by to top off your Cristal.
