What it is
A new 26-room hideaway on a 1,300 acre waterfront estate, with all-natural spa treatments, a turquoise outdoor pool, and two topnotch locavore restaurants.
What it isn't
Just about laying on the beach. The activities on the premises are practically endless, ranging from tennis with a personal trainer to cycling the grounds on their loaner bikes.
What we think
Leave it to Sir Richard Branson to create the ultimate Mallorcan getaway: a resort that’s both brand new and exceedingly old (it was built around a 16th century finca, or country estate). Guest rooms are timelessly stunning, with soaring exposed beam ceilings, generous windows dressed in breezy sheer draperies, and artful yet serene interiors in a stucco-inspired color palette. All rooms are large (starting at 322 square feet), and stocked with everything even Mr. Branson could ask for, including a smart TV, Gaia toiletries and a gratis minibar you can raid at your leisure. But our favorite guest room option is undoubtedly the Deluxe Sea View Room, which has a showstopping cinematic terrace overlooking the sea.
You're here because
The hotel has a sprawling organic herb and vegetable garden complete with its own beehives, and is currently kick-starting its 19th century vineyard once again.
The Moment
You’ve fallen in love with the olive trees that dot this estate, standing watchword over the sea. But the spa’s Magic of the Olive Tree treatment—with local virgin olive oil, stone powder and infused leaves—has you sure this is no fling, but a forever love. Bliss.
Restaurants & Bars
Sa Terrassa - The hotel's main restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offers dishes using local and seasonal ingredients.
Location
A 38 minute drive from Palma de Mallorca Airport, fronting the ocean on the other side of Mallorca, and near Playa Puerto des Canonge (an inlet with glass-clear water).
