Hotel President Wilson
A Luxury Collection Hotel
What it is
A celebrity bolthole with one of the world’s most expensive suites.
What it isn't
Off-putting. Sometimes, opulence is the most comfortable option.
What we think
Yes, the Hotel President Wilson is reportedly home to one of the most big-sticker hotel stays on the planet—the12-bedroom, 8th-floor Royal Penthouse Suite, with a Steinway grand piano (Rihanna and Michael Jackson have both played it) plus bulletproof glass windows. But that doesn’t mean the rest of the hotel’s guests are slumming in the other 227 rooms. Far from it: Even standard rooms here are fitted with Art Deco-inspired interiors, Hermès toiletries, Bang & Olufsen TV’s, and views of the Alps and Lake Geneva. Chef Michel Roth has created a suite of restaurants to feed the global glitterati, including Umami, a sushi spot set outside on the shores of Lake Geneva, and Arabesque, a Lebanese spot that tempts locals with its samak mechoui (grilled sea bass with tahini and crispy pita).
You're here because
You want a luxury stay convenient to Geneva's most important addresses, but with a lakefront location and pampering galore.
After a day whirling around the Geneva shops, you’re spent. A quick call to the hotel’s two-floor Spa La Mer Geneva and, suddenly, you’re being plied with hot volcanic stones.
A mere 2.4 miles from Geneva Airport, steps from Parc Mon Repos, Palace of Nations and the St. Pierre Cathedral, should you need to pray for a longer stay.
