Park Hyatt Doha an intimate boutique hotel of understated reality acts as a southern gateway to the center of the historic Msheireb Downtown Doha the world first sustainable downtown regeneration project. Msheireb which translates from Arabic to a place to drink water pays homage to the initial well that was the start of modern day Qatar. The hotel's guest rooms and suites are arranged to optimize the views of the Corniche and West Bay while a six-story podium houses a spa, restaurant, meeting, and event spaces. The design takes its reference from a new Qatari architectural language conceptualized to revive the old commercial heart of the city through community living through innovations that encourage social interaction and greater care for the environment. This theme is particularly evident in the treatment of the facade and the defined colonnade at its base.
