Mexico City, Mexico
JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City
Refined Luxury
What it is
A freshly revamped icon with 314 artful rooms, five buzzing and Instagrammable restaurants, an organic spa, and a heated al fresco swimming pool.
What it isn't
Overly urban. Yes, you’re in the heart of the city, but you can also head to the lush gardens on the 7th floor rooftop terrace to pluck some rosemary for your cocktail.
What we think
Somehow, JW Marriott has managed to create a newly renovated respite that feels both classic and modern: a rare design feat. Guest rooms are airy and vaguely nautical; even the starter option, a 398 square foot King Guest Room, is sumptuously adorned with gleaming floor to ceiling windows that look out on the cityscape, blonde wood floors, a downy feather bed, spa-like marble lined bathroom and plush robes ideal for raiding the in-room minibar. For an even more expansive space, we recommend booking the Master Suite: you’ll have access to the posh Executive Lounge (read: bottomless continental breakfasts, snacks, desserts, and more), not to mention your very own 646 square foot floor plan complete with a separate living room. You’ll feel like you own the town.
You're here because
The hotel is reportedly the only one in the district with an outdoor pool, and you love little more than a swim and suntan after a day of shopping and museum-hopping.
The Moment
You’re not sure what’s more entrancing as you belly up to the bar at Estacion 29: the gleaming interior (inspired by the 1889 first railcar in the city) or the stylish locals at every turn around you.
