Washington, D.C.

Conrad Washington DC

Gleaming Glamour

What it is

A sleek and artful retreat for the poshest politicos, with 360 serene guest rooms, a lauded locavore restaurant, gym, and Club Level for extra pampering.

What it isn't

Lacking in accolades. The modern 10-floor, glass-walled tower was designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the same starchitects behind London’s iconic Tate Modern.

What we think

“Calm” is not an adjective commonly used to describe Washington, D.C…. unless in reference to the mirrorlike waters of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. But inside this newer Conrad outpost, calm is exactly how you’ll feel. Guest rooms are adorned in blonde woods and pristine whites, with plenty of warm LED lighting hidden away behind the architecture for a flattering glow. (Bonus: each room option is nothing less than ginormous; starting at 416 square feet with daylight free-flowing through the floor to ceiling windows). We love the Premier Corner King for its show-stopping corner views of the cityscape from both the room and spa-like bathroom; the 926 square foot Park View Suite is a must for anyone who likes to come home to a flickering gas fireplace and separate living quarters for cocktail hour. Room service options are deliciously debaucherous; don’t miss the red forest cake with chestnut mousse.

You're here because

The Sakura Club level ensures you’ll be treated like the V.I.P. you are, with in-the-know ambassadors and eye-popping breakfast and dinner menus—and overlooks the capitol dome.

The Moment

Restaurateurs could learn a lot from Estuary, which sources prime fare from across the Chesapeake Bay. But you’re especially besotted with their Happy Hour menu—complete with hush puppies with yuzu aioli and Maryland crab, Tall Timber oysters with garlic chili crumbs and marinated trout roe, and sauvignon blanc from Virginia’s Boxwood. It’s not a happy hour…it’s an ecstatic hour!

Restaurants & Bars

Estuary Restaurant & Bar - An elegant dining space overlooking gorgeous views of Downtown DC

Summit the Rooftop - An Insta-worthy landmark for locals and visitors alike

A prime swath of Northwest Washington, just half a mile from The White House. Interior decor enthusiasts won’t want to miss the nearby Dumbarton Oaks Museum in Georgetown, a circa 1801 Federal-era home where they’ll find gardens designed by early landscape legend Beatrix Ferrand.
