EAST Miami
High Rise, High Style
What it is
A new 352-room hideaway above Brickell City Centre with a scene-y pool deck.
What it isn't
Yet another Art Deco option. East was made modern by Miami-based Arquitectonica architects and New York City’s Clodagh Design.
What we think
After opening East outposts in Hong Kong and Beijing, Swire Hotels turned to another world-class city—Miami—for its next streamlined, Feng Shui–inspired outpost. It’s tech-forward: you’ll have keyless entry, a painless and paperless check-in and check-out process, and there’s an even an app to advise you on goings-on-about-town. And though few travel to Miami to hole up in their suite, what we love most about the property might just be the rooms themselves, with floor-to-ceiling views over the cityscape, rain showers and Miami-roasted Panther Coffee stocked and waiting for you. There’s also a 24-hour gym chockablock with Technogym gadgets (should you feel like pumping iron at 3 a.m.—predictable in this city), plus a 20,000-square-foot pool area that includes a hut tub and cold plunge.
You're here because
You’ve got business in Brickell, or your idea of a Miami weekend is more urbane than what South Beach has to offer.
The Moment
On the 40th floor, rooftop garden-turned-bar Sugar is the only place you can imagine having a nightcap. What’s more indulgent than a glass of bubbly and a skyline view before teetering downstairs to bed?
