New Orleans, Louisiana
Hotel De La Poste – French Quarter, A Renaissance Hotel
Old School Cool
What it is
In the French Quarter, with 97 futuristic rooms, a topnotch Creole saloon and a lush courtyard complete with a pool.
What we think
The gurgling courtyard fountain says olde time N'Awlins, but the rooms here are anything but. Take the minimalist, back-lit wall to ceiling artwork that doubles as a headboard. Or the fact that each room has flat screen TVs whether you opt for a 240-square-foot starter rooms or a 364-square-foot Studio, with a private patio or balcony. If you’ve come to celebrate something—even if it’s just the weekend—we recommend booking a suite.
You're here because
The heated courtyard pool is the perfect place to escape the Louisiana heat.
The Moment
Did someone say “Brunch burlesque show”? Yes, at 3rd Block Depot Kitchen + Bar, the hotel’s Creole saloon. As local legend Bella Blue twirls in her 1940s burlesque attire, you eyeball the Legs and Eggs menu...and take a sip of your much-needed Corpse Reviver No. 2 cocktail.
