Malolo Island, Fiji
Six Senses Fiji
Island Paradise
What it is
A 24 villa retreat on a pristine white sand beach with a spa inspired by a Fijian village; three exquisite locavore restaurants; a cooking school; and an outdoor theater.
What it isn't
Boring. Curated experiences here run the gamut from Fijan language classes with the locals to a surf academy by TropicSurf.
What we think
In a destination as jaw-dropping as Fiji, only a truly-head turning hotel will do. Six Senses has designed exactly that: a place where the interiors actually live up to the paradisiacal views out each and every window. Room options range from a 1,200 square foot Hideaway Pool Villa (with a canopied bed under soaring exposed beam ceilings, a rain shower, and a private deck fitted with its own deep soaking tub and a plunge pool) to a Five-Bedroom Oceanview Pool Residence that crests a hill with a panorama of the Pacific Ocean from its sweeping 5,737 square foot floor plan. Note that there are no bad rooms, here—each and every option is sumptuous and has topnotch amenities, including Bluetooth speakers, a coffee setup with biodegradable coffee pods, a curated minibar and wine fridge, satellite TV on the flatscreen, zippy free Wifi, and oh-so-much-more.
You're here because
The brand is renowned for its commitment to sustainability, and even has 39 endangered Fijian crested iguanas living on the premises.
The Moment
It is sunset, and from your poolside table at Tovolea, the only thing more delectable than your Living Colada cocktail with pineapple shrub is the fact that the resort makes its own ice cream with local ingredients (to be topped with ginger and honeycomb, natch).
Restaurants & Bars
Tovolea Restaurant - offers fresh and exciting dishes with a Pacific flair overlooking the ocean
RaRa Restaurant and Bar - offers international specialties, from Italy to Japan and further, using locally sourced and grown ingredients
Gourmet Deli - located within RaRa and offering a range of delicious foods, fresh produce, snacks and beverages

Location
A 35 minute speedboat ride from Port Denarau Marina (20 minutes drive from Nadi International Airport), all of which hotel staffers will happily arrange. Rather take a 10 minute helicopter? They can arrange that, too.
