Hôtel Madame Rêve

Artful Elegance

What it is

An exquisite 82-room boutique hotel with a small spa and two lauded restaurants (one Mediterranean, one Japanese), plus a rooftop garden that overlooks the Eiffel Tower.

What it isn't

Equipped with a pool. But this is PARIS. You’re here to swim in style and culture.

What we think

Ooh la la. Even in a town with unlimited gorgeous hotels, Madame Rêve Hotel turns heads. Housed within a 19th century post office, it’s been sheathed in the unflappable style Parisians are known for, with gleaming rare wood walls and art at every turn. A whopping 53 of the 82 rooms have balconies, many overlooking some of the city’s more legendary sights. But even without a postcard-level view, you’ll be blissed out. Garden View rooms are stocked with pink mosaic lined showers that Instagram dreams are made of, plus king beds, flatscreen TVs and billowing draperies against the floor-to-ceiling windows. Book the Grande Suite and you may never want to go home: it has a deep soaking tub, private terrace that peeps out on the garden, and a separate living room that makes an idyllic “salon.” Go ahead and indulge in your Hemingway tendencies.

You're here because

They have a fitness room (and pristine sauna) that you’ll need to stay ahead of your croissants, macaroons and financiers.

The Moment

With its 26-foot-high ceilings, the hotel’s cafe is the type of place that drops your jaw. But then you try your grilled octopus with white polenta, red onions and Kalamata olives and it’s settled…you’re never leaving.

Restaurants & Bars

Madame Rêve Café - Modern Mediterranean, enjoyed on a sunny terrace, all day long

La Plume - Dinner with a panoramic view

Le Roof - A "hanging garden of Eden"

Location

On Rue du Louvre, just a six block walk from the Louvre itself. Nine blocks in the other direction, be sure to stop in at the Musee du Chocolat…which is exactly as sweet as it sounds (and, yes, has tastings).
