8th arrondissement, Paris
Hôtel Plaza Athénée
A Dorchester Collection Hotel
What it is
The pinnacle of Parisian luxury—with an A-List crowd to match.
What it isn't
A low-key getaway.
What we think
With over a century of history under its belt, the Hôtel Plaza Athénée is still a Parisian icon—not to mention a consistent hot spot for A-listers (the Rolling Stones, Kanye West, Sarah Jessica Parker—you get the picture). In 2014, a major renovation of the Dorchester Collection property added 14 new rooms and suites while subtly upgrading the rest of the hotel to ensure it remains as posh as ever. And by posh, we mean three-Michelin-star dining from Alain Ducasse, a 35,000-bottle wine cellar, beauty treatments at the Dior Institute, limousines, Beltrami sheets, full-time seamstresses and personal trainers, and on and on. Choose between Louis XVI and Art Deco–style rooms, all with top-of-the-line features like pillow menus and interactive TVs. You can’t go wrong when every room has a view of either the Eiffel Tower, the high-end shops lining Avenue Montaigne or the peaceful garden courtyard with its famous red awnings.
You're here because
You want to be dazzled by the lavishness and panache of Paris.
The Moment
